During the last week of August, Boulder Association of Firefighters - Local 900 President Brian Marron and Vice President Tyler Capron attended the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Convention in Boston, MA.

IAFF conventions are held every two years and serve as a place where IAFF members join together to continue working towards providing a better workplace and benefits for firefighters all across the continent. The convention began by members voting to adopt nearly 60 resolutions aimed at bettering the workplace and lives of those in the fire service. Throughout the convention, leaders reiterated the importance locals within the IAFF remaining united on key issues facing firefighters during divisive times, reminding us that our commitment to firefighting is something we all share in common. The Local 900 remains committed to supporting our union members so that they are equipped to provide the best possible service to our community.
