On December 5th, 2024, Boulder Fire-Rescue welcomed three new firefighters as graduates from the Front Range Fire Consortium (FRFC) Academy Class 24-2. Boulder Firefighters of the Local 900 wish "CONGRATULATIONS" to these new firefighters. We are all looking forward to working with our new firefighters as we serve the community of Boulder together.

The FRFC academy is a rigorous academy program where firefighter recruits from departments across the northern front range of Colorado work together to learn all aspects of firefighting. Recruits build on their skills as both firefighters and teammates throughout the 16 weeks of the academy. Consortium departments provide subject matter experts to teach recruits various topics and skills throughout the academy. Boulder Firefighters enjoyed getting to work with recruits during their academy time and always look forward to coming together to teach with our firefighter brothers and sisters from surrounding departments. We were all recruits once. The culminating academy graduation ceremony is not only an incredible time to look back on the work done by our newest firefighters as they prepared to serve the community, but it is a great reminder of the bond we all share through rigorous training and love for the job!
